Farewelling Our Amazing Members: Delaney, Maddy, Kelly, Tomas, Heather, Jordan, and Betsy!

This summer we farewelled 7 incredible members of the lab - all for the best reasons.

This was one of the hardest years. The job market is tough and PhD programs have become almost impossible to get into, some with acceptance rates below 1%. Despite all of this, our team members absolutely crushed it, and we could not be prouder.

Four of our trainees will be starting PhD programs this fall:

• Delaney Callaghan, our team leader and research coordinator, will be starting a PhD in Clinical Psychology at The Catholic University of America

  
  

• Heather Doherty, our neuroimaging and data science RA, will be starting a PhD in Social Psychology at Rutgers University

  
  

• Kelly Kwong, our can-do-it-all-at-once clinical-data RA, will be starting a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Stony Brook University

  
  

• Tomas Alegria, our neuroimaging lead RA, will be starting a PhD in Neuroscience at Rutgers University

Three of our members will be taking the next step in their careers, moving into new research and clinical roles:

• Maddy Schier, our human institutional memory, graduated with her LMSW, and will be starting a clinician role, at OBGYN with Lauren Osborne, Weill Cornell Medicine.

  
  

• Betsy Brown, LCSW, LCSW, our inaugural study clinician and intervention developer, started a clinician role at the Partial Hospitalization Program, Weill Cornell Medicine Psychiatry.

  
  

• Jordan Serrano-Guedea, our clinical+actigraphy RA, was promoted to Clinical Data Research Coordinator with Logan Grosenick at the Grosenick Lab, Weill Cornell Medicine.

We can't wait to see what these superstars are going to do next, and we'll be watching and cheering them on in the upcoming years!

To celebrate our wonderful team members and wish them luck on their exciting journeys ahead, the lab gathered in Central Park for a brunch picnic!
